Message from the President

Jennifer with rescue cat Ruston (who has since been adopted)

This year, Seattle Area Feline Rescue is welcoming a new President to the Board of Directors. After years of dedicated service, Immediate Past President Lisa Reid is passing this leadership role on to Board Member and longtime volunteer Jennifer Cadigan. (Lisa continues to help kitties: she still serves on the Board and stays an active in the SAFe community!) Jennifer shares the following message with you:

Hello everyone! I’m Jennifer Cadigan and I’ve been an active volunteer with the Seattle Area Feline Rescue for almost 4 years. As a volunteer, I help socialize our shy/scared cats in the Behavior Training program (and teach skills like “high-five” that provide fun enrichment!) and pick up Wings of Rescue kitties from the airport. I’m honored and excited to be the new Board President!

As President, I welcome the opportunity to be directly involved in our policies and help shape the exciting future of our rescue. I am especially thankful to be part of a wonderful team of staff, volunteers, board members, fosters, and adopters who support the rescue.

From neonatal kittens to senior cats, Seattle Area Feline Rescue has positively impacted so many lives and helped these felines thrive. I am so proud of the work we have done and look forward to our continued growth.
