A New Beginning For Jasmine
Meet Jasmine, a resilient nine-year-old who reminds us that it’s never too late for a new beginning!
When she arrived at SAFe, Jasmine was in rough shape. She was suffering from painful dental disease, a broken tooth, and was barely eating. Shy and overwhelmed, she spent most of her time tucked beneath a blanket, only peeking out for the gentlest head and cheek scritches.
As our medical team began treatment, even more challenges emerged: ringworm, along with ear and eye infections, all contributing to her discomfort.
Still, Jasmine met each hurdle with quiet bravery. With time, medical care, and a whole lot of love, she slowly began to turn a corner. She started eating more comfortably, playing again, and even settling in for cozy movie nights with her foster family.

When a Foster Home Became a Family
After a successful dental surgery, Jasmine’s true personality bloomed. Her appetite returned, her confidence grew, and before long, her foster family realized they couldn’t imagine life without her. They made her a permanent part of their family – giving Jasmine a loving home, a new sibling, and a healthy fresh start!

“We’ve both fallen in love with her, which wasn’t hard to do. She’s so much fun – it’s hard to believe she’s nine and not two with all her antics.”
