A New Home for SAFe
With a growing community of cat lovers and felines who rely on SAFe Rescue at every stage of companionship, SAFe’s programs and services continue to grow. As the need for our services expands, our physical location must expand, too. Your support has been key to our growth in the past and continues to be key to SAFe’s future!
This summer, SAFe will move to Ballinger Village in Shoreline, WA.
Together, we can create a new home that saves more feline lives and helps more humans!
SAFe’s new home is still within the City of Shoreline, less than five miles away from our current location. Most importantly, this move will more than double the size of SAFe’s facility! A bigger physical location will give our medical, adoption, volunteer, foster and community support teams the capacity and resources to help cats and the humans who love them in new and expanded ways.

The New Space
Imagine a bright space that brings the cats and humans ease of mind. A place where you receive a warm welcome, find new friends, and receive the support you need to care for your pets. Here, whether injured or distressed, cats will find the loving care they need to recover. There will even be a classroom where community members can attend meetings and community education programs! SAFe’s new home is designed to make an even bigger difference for cats in need:
- A spacious medical area, including separate exam and treatment rooms
- New ICU, ringworm, and x-ray rooms
- Space and equipment to perform dental surgeries
- Housing areas that meet kitties’ needs for space and enrichment
- An additional adoptable cat area
- Increased storage for foster and cat care supplies
- Office spaces for efficient teamwork
- More room to perform spay/neuter surgeries
- Space for community support programs to help local pet owners

We Need Your Help!
The campaign for SAFe’s New Home is the most ambitious fundraising project the Rescue has ever undertaken—and the most critical to SAFe’s future! The support the Rescue receives from all of you makes this work possible. With your help, SAFe can bring more resources and space to cats in need.
SAFe is a community organization, and creating the new home is a community project. You can make a gift towards the new space below, and follow SAFe on social media for news and updates about the move!
To date, SAFe’s compassionate community has come together to raise over $500,000 with gifts, pledges, and anticipated matches.
