Petco Love Invests in Seattle Area Feline Rescue to Help Save Feline Lives

Shoreline, WASH. – Seattle Area Feline Rescue (SAFe Rescue) has received a $7,500 grant from Petco Love, a national nonprofit dedicated to harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. This investment supports SAFe Rescue’s mission to save feline lives.

“Our investment in Seattle Area Feline Rescue is part of more than $12M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love. “Our local investments are only part of our strategy to empower animal lovers to drive lifesaving change right alongside us. We launched Petco Love Lost, a free national lost and found database that uses photo-matching technology to simplify the search for lost pets.”

“At SAFe Rescue, we are dedicated to saving cats from areas with high risk of euthanasia and finding loving homes for those who might otherwise be overlooked due to age, health issues, or behavioral challenges,” said Emily Sprong, Executive Director of Seattle Area Feline Rescue. “This investment from Petco Love will be crucial in our efforts to rescue these vulnerable felines.”

“Funds from Petco Love allow us to care for cats like Esther, a special kitty who needed extra time and support to heal from complex medical issues. Thank you for making it possible to give her a second chance!”

Seattle Area Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill rescue based in Shoreline, Washington. SAFe Rescue saves feline lives by taking in vulnerable cats, giving them the care they need, finding them loving homes, and supporting their human companions through community programs such as a free pet pantry, low-cost wellness clinics, and spay/neuter services. Every cat matters—and every act of compassion helps build a more caring community.
